Kemosabe Ranch Fallow Deer Hunting
Kemosabe Ranch offers a variety of Fallow deer hunts in a spectacular Texas Hill Country setting. The ranch has been stocking Fallow deer since 2009. We have introduced two different genetic varieties. The European strand we introduced typically has large, wide, and full paddles plus mass. The Mesopotamia strand we introduced typically has longer paddles with more points with deep indentations and scores generally higher. The deer have interbred to produce some outstanding bucks with both characteristics. The deer generally rut in early November. They can be hunted any time of the year but antler are normally hard horned mid to late September. We offer an opportunity to take a trophy Fallow with either a gun or bow. We recommend hunting early in the season as they are prone to fight aggressively and break some of their points later on in the season although the opportunity exists to take a trophy until they lose their horns in March.
